Meet the Team - Jess (Office Manager)
Happy Friday everyone!
After a few technical difficulties, the blog is finally back and there are some exciting things in the works that we can’t wait to update you all on.
You might or mightn’t have heard that the office team at The Nanny Diary has grown by a few. As our wonderful team of nannies continues to grow, TND also got a few new faces within the office to take over from the amazing work of Caity, our original Office Manager and Marketing Coordinator as she has gone to pursue a fantastic opportunity in a full-time marketing role.
Although it has been sad to see Caity leave, we are also very excited to introduce a few new members into the team who are already working on some exciting things for the future of TND.
You can read up about Casey (Owner and Director) and Sarah (our finance whiz) in previous blog posts, the new roles within the team are:
Jess – Office Manager
Kim – HR & Recruitment Manager
Kate – Marketing Coordinator
Over the next few weeks, each new team member will answer a few questions so you will know a bit more about the people responding to all of your emails! This week is all about our lovely new office manager, Jess.
As office manager, Jess responds to all new inquiries and assists any of our current families with bookings and filling ongoing positions. So far, Jess has been nothing short of awesome in her role and is already a really valuable addition to the team.
Jess has answered a few questions about herself so you can get to know a bit more about her!
Where were you born and raised?
I grew up in a small country town on the Yorke Peninsula. I have lived in Adelaide for the previous few years for work and study opportunities, but will always be a country girl at heart!
How would your friends and family describe you?
I put this question out to my friends who said, I’m like the mum of the friend group, and always the person to go to for advice.
What do you like doing outside of work?
My favourite things to do include spending time with my partner and our 9-month-old son, Harley - we love to go out for a Sunday breakfast or outing. I also don’t mind a few casual drinks with friends on the odd occasion.
Where is your favourite place in South Australia?
I absolutely love to spend our weekends back home on the Yorke Peninsula whenever possible!
What’s your career/study background?
I have been a professional nanny for multiple years now in a range of permanent and casual roles, working predominantly with babies and toddlers. I am also currently completing studies in a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
What is your role within the Nanny Diary?
As the Office Manager, I manage all bookings and enquiries and ensure the business runs smoothly on a day to day basis. I also get to provide support to all of our wonderful nannies and families. If you contact The Nanny Diary via email or phone, it is very likely that I will be the person who greets you!
What is your favourite part of your job at The Nanny Diary?
Coming from a nannying background, I am loving the opportunity to support families in a different capacity, as well as supporting other nannies. It is also amazing to see all the great feedback that comes through, it just
goes to show the hard work that all of our wonderful nannies put in!
When travel is back, where is the first place you want to go?
I have actually never been overseas! I have always loved the thought of visiting England one day, as I have lots of family over there.
Love TND x
